The proprietor of "Gokuraku-do" (Paradise Hall)—an apothecary that has stood on the outskirts of town for ages but is nicknamed "Jigoku-do" (Hell Hall) due to its eerie atmosphere.
He has wild white hair, a sharp aquiline nose, glittering eyes, and a mouth full of large fangs; he often chuckles with a distinctive "hee-hee-hee" sound. He monitors all events in the town through a crystal ball sitting on his desk. He is a mysterious, cold, and unsettling old man who possesses immense spiritual power, vast knowledge, and an array of supernatural artifacts. He bestows spiritual artifacts and the powers of gods and Buddhas upon the Trio of Mischief, guiding them as practitioners of the arcane arts. He appears to be well over a hundred years old.
At first glance, he seems incredibly cold-hearted. He often frustrates the Trio by laughing off human karma, absurd causalities, and inescapable, tragic fates, dismissing them with the attitude of "just let things play out as they will." However, on rare occasions, he imparts lessons that go beyond mere sorcery—teaching them fundamental truths about the heart and what it truly means to be human.
